India COVID-19 Update: 564 New Cases, 7 Deaths Including Infant

In the past 24 hours, India has recorded 564 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the total active cases to 4,866 across the country. Tragically, 7 deaths have been reported during this period, including a 5-month-old infant, highlighting the continued threat of the virus.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued fresh guidelines to all state health departments. These include instructions to ensure the availability of medical oxygen, isolation beds, and functional ventilators in government and private healthcare facilities.

Although the current numbers remain relatively low compared to previous waves, the ministry has emphasized the need for continued vigilance, especially in urban areas and among vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and individuals with chronic illnesses.
